DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Rain and freezing rain are moving in to the Miami Valley, mostly north of Interstate 70.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for our northern counties until 1:00 p.m. The southern counties are under a Freezing Rain Advisory until 1:00 p.m.

Storm Team 2 says any untreated roads will likely get a glaze of ice on them as the morning progresses.
“The precipitation is falling as rain, but when it hits the street, it turns to ice,” said Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Jamie Jarosik.
A 6:15 a.m., precipitation was falling north of Dayton in communities such a Greenville, Piqua and Urbana.
“The frozen precipitation will quickly changeover to rain around noon time, causing a flood problem. The southern counties including Warren and Clinton, have a Flood Watch in effect.
