Dayton man pleads guilty of dice game shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton man took responsibility for a shooting that ended fatally.


Roemallo Taylor, 20, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and having weapons under disability.


Taylor killed Gregory Alexander, 26, back in April 2014 after an argument over a dice game debt.


Prosecutors say Taylor argued with Alexander over a dice game debt.


The men struggled and Alexander was shot in the abdomen.


Taylor will be sentenced March 26.



Laptop box bandit now has a name

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) – The laptop box bandit now has a name.


Beavercreek police say a suspect in a recent theft at the Beavercreek Walmart was identified after someone saw surveillance images on the news.

Police accuse Walker of taking a large empty laptop box into the store and telling the greeter that it was a return item.


They say he then swapped the empty box for a box off the shelf.


Police believe he pulled the same stunt at at least twice before at he Sam’s Club, stealing a television and computer from that store.


The suspect is possibly driving a white Pontiac Vibe. He is not in custody.
