Dayton Ohio News Fairbury 20th 2015 Update

Look at the story below that a man who is saying that the city of Dayton will not cover his truck which was damaged by a sinkhole.
A six-inch water main break is causing bigger headaches for the man whose truck was totaled in the resulting sinkhole.Last November, Mike McDonald was driving to work when the road suddenly gave way beneath his truck.“I was just hoping the city of Dayton would go, ‘Hey, man. Sorry. We’ll square everything away,'” said McDonald. A water main break caused a sinkhole about five feet deep underneath High Knoll Drive in the area where McDonald lives.

So what are your thoughts on this to the city of Dayton be responsible? Or should this man's insurance company be responsible. I think the city of Dayton should be responsible.

So you ready for the bad weather that's coming this weekend? They are predicting 47 inches of snow and also later in the afternoon to predict and rain. So hopefully the snow will not stick around for too long. Then will be spring again in the Dayton area.
With this weekend’s winter weather it feels like spring is pretty far away. But first things first ODOT and local hardware stores have to get ready for yet another snow storm. With snow in the forecast homeowners are going to need salt and de-icer.ODOT crews are out pre-treating the roads.“They’re doing everything they can to kind of be prepared to be ready for the storm,” said Mandi Dillon with ODOT. “The big thing is that its been really cold all week sot hat also means the ground temperature is pretty cold at this point, which means precipitation has a good chance of freezing.”ODOT will be using a more concentrated salt brine mixture to help against the colder temperatures.Greive Hardware store owner Sue Eckert got a shipment of de-icer and spring supplies just in time for Saturday.

About 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers got the wrong tax information from the government, the Obama administration said Friday, and officials are asking those affected to delay filing their 2014 returns. The tax mistake is a self-inflicted injury that comes on the heels of what President Barack Obama had touted as a successful enrollment season, with about 11.4 million people signed up.California, which is running its own insurance market, on Thursday announced a similar problem affecting about 100,000 people in that state. The errors mean that nearly 1 million people may have to wait longer to get their income tax refunds this year. And they could also affect the size of those refunds.Another 50,000 or so who already filed may have to resubmit their returns.Federal officials also announced Friday a special sign-up extension for uninsured people facing the health care law’s tax penalties for the first time this year.

It's time that Dayton and really the whole party United States takes the stance on heroin addiction. Heroin is the drug that you hear most days. There definitely is a big problem with the this and the region needs to take a stance on this drug. Supply and people with narcin on this just a Band-Aid and doesn't totally address what the real problem is and why people use drugs.

Cold temperatures haven’t stopped an uptick in robberies in the eastern part Dayton, and police say heroin addiction coupled with a desperation for quick cash to get a fix may be behind the spike.
Since the beginning of the year, 18 robberies have been reported. Many of the cases are armed robberies, each time committed by different individuals who threaten store clerks or individuals with a weapon to get cash. There were two robberies reported during the same period in 2014 — which is why police said they are so concerned about the uptick.
“Usually we see more robberies in December, and it kind of falls off (due to) the weather
